His Beatitude Onufriy, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, has received a letter from the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church expressing concern over the crisis situation in the life of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church resulted from the unlawful actions of the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

In his letter, His Beatitude Sava, Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland, refers to the Polish Orthodox Church’s decision of May 9, 2018, a notice of which was sent to Primates of all the Local Orthodox Churches. Among other things, it contained a warning that the present church disorders in Ukraine, if not duly appeased, would make a destructive impact on the life of the whole world Orthodoxy and bring sorrow and temptations to it. ‘Now we can see that it has happened so. We are keenly feeling it. The life of the Church and the personal faith are not jokes’, His Beatitude Sava notes in his letter to the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

To His Beatitude Onufriy ‘and all the faithful who stand for the purity of faith defined doctrinally by the canonical teaching of the Holy Orthodox Church’ Metropolitan Sava sent the words of fraternal love and respect and assured them of his prayers, reports the website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Department for External Church Relations.
