His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church on the Krsna Slava – commemoration day of the heavenly patron of his family. His Holiness Patriarch Irinej celebrates Krsna Slava on the Saturday of Lazarus.

His Holiness Irinej, Archbishop of Peć, Metropolitan of Belgrade and Karlovci, Patriarch of Serbia

Your Holiness, Beloved Brother and Concelebrant at God’s Altar,

Please accept my cordial greetings with your Krsna Slava – Saturday of Lazarus – the day of Your Holiness’ spiritual celebration.

On this radiant day the Holy Church commemorates how the Lord, on His way to the city of Jerusalem, “called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead” (Jn 12:17). By performing this great miracle Jesus Christ revealed the power of His Divinity and heralded to the whole world His future glorious Resurrection.

I prayerfully wish you good health and unceasing spiritual joy, God’s generous help and success in your lofty and responsible Patriarchal ministry.

With fraternal love in the Lord

+KIRILL
