110th anniversary of second glorification of St. Anna of Kashin celebrated at Old-Rite church in Mikhaylovskaya Sloboda, Moscow region

The feast of translation of the holy relics of St. Anna of Kashin, who is deeply venerated in the Old-Rite communities of the Russian Orthodox Church, coincides with the second canonization of this saint that took place on 12th/25th June 1909. The 110th anniversary of her second glorification was marked by the Divine Liturgy celebrated at the Old-Rite Church of Archangel Michael in Mikhaylovskaya Sloboda village, Moscow region diocese, on 25th June 2019.

Celebrating the divine service were Archimandrite Irinarkh (Denisov), rector of the Church of Archangel Michael; Archpriest Ioann Mirolyubov, head of the Patriarchal Centre for Old Russian Liturgical Tradition, secretary of the Commission for Old-Rite Parishes and Cooperation with the Old-Rite Community; clerics of the Church of Archangel Michael, Archpriest Yevgeny Sarancha and Priest Valery Bulychev; as well as Hieromonk Antony (Annenkov), rector of the Old-Rite Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in Ostashovo village, Moscow Region diocese.

Among those taking part in the celebrations in honour of St. Anna of Kashin were parishioners of the Church of Archangel Michael and the Old-Rite faithful from Moscow and the Moscow Region.
