On September 6, 2019, Metropolitan Anthony of Chersonesus and Western Europe, head of the Moscow Patriarchate office for institutions abroad and Patriarchal Exarch for Western Europe, who is on a brief visit to Greece with a blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, met with the Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Hieronymus, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece. 

During their talk, which took place at the Archdiocese of Athens, Metropolitan Anthony conveyed His Beatitude best regards from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.

Metropolitan Anthony informed His Beatitude about the work of his office and today’s situation of the Moscow Patriarchate dioceses and parishes in the far-abroad counties.

They also dealt with some issues on the inter-Orthodox relations agenda.

After the talk, they exchanged tokens of the meeting.

Taking part in the talk was also Hieromonk Gregory (Sokolov), Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR).
