Patriarch-Catholicos Karekin II arrives in Moscow at the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill

On October 11, 2021, the Supreme Patriarch-Catholicos Karekin II of All Armenians came to visit Moscow at the invitation of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.

At Sheremetyevo airport the high guest was met by chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk.

The welcoming party also included Archimandrite Philaret (Bulekov), a vice-chairman of the DECR,

Hieromonk Stephen (Igumnov), DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations, and D. Arakelian and S. Bekeshchenko, staff members of the DECR.

As a part of his visit, the Supreme Patriarch-Catholicos Karekin II of All Armenians will meet on October 12 with His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. During a tripartite meeting to be held on October 13, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill will meet with the Supreme Patriarch-Catholicos Karekin II and the Chairman of the Muslim Board of the Caucasus, Sheikh Allashuqur Pasha-zade to discuss a settlement in Karabakh.
