His Excellency Mr. Olaf Scholz, Federal Chancellor, Federal Republic of Germany

Your Excellency,

Dear Mr. Federal Chancellor,

Please accept my congratulations on your election as Federal Chancellor of Germany. It is the volition of the country’s parliamentarians and through them of the German citizens to entrust you with the task of heading the Federal Government.

Over the past years you held demanding and important government posts, striving to take an active part in the life of people and resolve difficult economic and social issues. The people of Germany, including the youth as the most active part of the population, expect the cabinet under your leadership to offer new opportunities to wider strata of society, provide greater security, and create a favourable environment that would encourage all-round personal development.

The Russian Orthodox Church, which has historical presence in the German land and takes pastoral care of its numerous flock, expresses its readiness for further development of the relationships with the Government of the Federal Republic and its commitment to strengthen the friendly ties between the Russian and the German nations.

I wish to Your Excellency good health and blessed success in the responsible service lying ahead of you, and I wish peace and welfare to the people of Germany.

Yours faithfully,
