DECR chairman attends presentation of Christmas project at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On December 24, 2023, a song “Christmas. Good Luck!” which is a joint Belarusian-Russian musical project, was presented at the Reception House of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow. The lyrics for the song were written by Ms Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Ministry.

The initiative was endorsed by the Russian and Belarusian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and by Mr Dmitry Mezentsev, the Secretary of State of the Union State of Russia and Belarus.

The author of the music is Leonid Shirin, a well-known Belarusian composer and artistic director of “Spamash” Production Centre. Singing the song was a young Belarusian singer Ksenia Galetskaya, a winner of many national and international awards.

Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchates Department for External Church Relations, addressed welcome remarks to the participants of the presentation.

Also, he congratulated Ms Zakharova on her birthday and wished her God’s aid in her work.
