On the 2nd of April 2024, the Moscow Islamic Institute hosted an interreligious meeting on "Family and Spiritual Values in the Dialogue of Religions and Cultures" organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation.

The event was attended by: Priest Fedor Lukyanov, Chairman of the Patriarchal Commission on the Family, protection of Motherhood and Childhood; Rais Izmaylov, Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work of the Moscow Islamic Institute; Priest Stefan Lipke, General Secretary of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Russia, Director of the St Thomas Institute; Bato-lama Radnaev, representative of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia; Pastor Dmitry Taranov, Head of the Office of the Russian United Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith. With the blessing of Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Deacon Sergius Nesterov of the DECR Secretariat for Interreligious Relations attended the meeting.

The participants of the meeting discussed family values through the prism of their own doctrine, spoke about the activities of the communities they represent in the field of defending traditional family morality, and exchanged views on strengthening and supporting the institution of the family in Russian society, interreligious and interfaith marriages.
