27 January 2020 year 11:00

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has sent the following greeting to His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland with his Nameday:

Your Beatitude, beloved brother and concelebrant at God’s Throne:

I cordially congratulate Your Beatitude on your Nameday.

Shining with purity and serene humility (Canon to St. Sava, ode 3), St. Sava of Serbia gave an example of his life equal-to-the-apostles and confirmed his flock in the apostolic faith. Now, standing at God’s throne, he is an incessant intercessor for all those calling upon his holy name.

May our gracious Lord, through the prayers of your heavenly patron, continue to bestow upon Your Beatitude his peace, ‘which surpasses all understanding” (Phil 4:7), strength and abundant help in your difficult and responsible primatial ministry and keep you in good health for many years.

With brotherly love in Christ,

+KIRILL

PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
